I mentioned Poul Anderson's The Game Of Empire as retconning Erik Magnusson and Zacharia. Then, searching the blog for previous references to Erik Magnusson reminded me of another retcon, Dakotia (see also Diana Crowfeather), which also provides a link to post-Imperial periods. See:

What Survives
Poul Anderson's Technic History has got to surpass all other future history series in the complexity of its internal interconnections. Furthermore, since this blog has been composed haphazardly, navigating its internal links is not straightforward. However, I trust that the disorganization of the blog to some extent reflects the complexity of its subject-matter.
The Technic History cannot have any ultimate conclusion. It remains a (very large) cross-section of a history that continues into the universe beyond its last recorded word: "...victory." (Flandry's Legacy, p. 794)

Kaor, Paul!
The "disorganization" of this blog reflects not only the complexities to be found in his Technic stories but also those of his other series and stand alone works. To say nothing of the other ramifications due to frequent discussions of the works of other authors. Such Rudyard Kipling, H.G. Wells, JRR Tolkien, S.M. Stirling, etc.
Ad astra! Sean
