It could be argued we even get a hint in this part of "A Tragedy of Errors" of how long it might have been since the Empire fell and the Long Night began. IF my recollection is correct, mention was made of this castle being abandoned for at least two centuries (in Nikean years?). Assuming another two centuries for some kind of post-Imperial to arise and build castles, then the Long Night has already lasted about four centuries. But all this is pure guess work!
