OK. I have found those explanations for inclusion of narratives in the Earth Book and they are not bad so we can revisit them here:
This is also an opportunity to reflect on the unpredictability of the future. Since those posts were published:
exactly one year has elapsed;
there has been and still is a global pandemic;
there has been a US Presidential election with an unexpected outcome and a threat to democracy.
The threat is either a fraud or distrust caused by influential allegations of fraud. We have not only multiple possible futures but also multiple possible pasts and presents. We can continue to appreciate sf future histories while also contemplating the unpredictably of the twelve months ahead. Poul Anderson is a good guide for part of the journey.

Kaor, Paul!
I've been seeing too much lately to make me confident the recent election was at least mostly honest. I think the best we can hope for is for "Josip" to be tolerated as President because all other alternatives are worse. And to have a GOP controlled Senate acting as a check on a Democrat House controlled by extreme leftists. AND to make sure the 2024 election will not be corrupted by the skulduggery and extremely suspicious actions compromising the 2020 elections.
We live in very Hordian times!

Kaor, Sean!
I don’t agree with Biden’s political outlook, but then, I don’t agree with Trump’s, either. As to allegations of election fraud, the grifter in chief can spew them on Twitter, but almost every actual lawsuit filed by the Trump campaign and the Trumpublicans has lost, and many of them have lost in rulings by Republican judges, including Trump appointees. If Ken Paxton’s lawsuit had any merit, Justice Amy Coney Barrett sure is an ingrate.
I’m afraid that you may be right about Hordian times ahead, but I do not believe that a demagogue and ignoramus like Dishonest Donald is the man to steer us through them.
Best Regards,
Nicholas
I believe Fox News have had to acknowledge that there is no truth in allegations about voting machines.
Nicholas,
The Hordian times are not just ahead!
I would love to have a preview of the world in 2120. We know just one thing. It will be very different.
Paul.
Kaor, Nicholas!
I am not convinced there was NO fraud, illegalities, or dirty tricks by the Democrats. And I am not entirely convinced the results in WI or PA were totally honest. That said, I think "Josip" did win, even if only by a very narrow margin.
Donald Trump's failings are real, but he was still better than "Josip," whose personal failings are as least as bad, compounded by his bad left wing ideas and the people he chooses to have around him. NO Democrats are fit to be President, IMO!
And I agree with Paul, we are already in Hordian times. And I don't think the US has much time left for repairing the damage caused by bad ideas and policies, which Anderson dated from the time the XVII Amendment to the US Constitution was ratified.
Ad astra! Sean
