In All

See:

God And Javak
Pagan Symbols...

Targovi's passengers contemplate the Milky Way. Axor invokes God whereas Targovi fingers his charm. Hebrew prophets rejected charms as Godless whereas Hindus see God, whether personal or impersonal, in all, including the Milky Way and the charm.

The emergency broadcast favors the Hindu view. See:

"The Divine Is With Us"

Well, yeah, but that's a government trying to appeal to a very diverse audience. And if it's one thing Hinduism is good at, it's being a "B ig Tent" religion, incorporating stuff without outright rejecting any of the constituent elements.

True both about the emergency broadcast and about Hinduism.
I think a Big Tent is a good idea. We can practice "just sitting" within it.

Kaor, Paul!

But I don't AGREE with Hinduism because I consider it WRONG. And I emphatically disagree with those Anglicans in Stirling's THE PESHAWAR LANCERS who were debating the "rightness" of accepting Hinduism. Doing so would mean the Anglican Church of India would no longer even be Christian. My expectation is that devout high and low church Anglicans would reject the Church of India if it decided to accept Hindu beliefs and errors. I recall, as well, the French Crown Prince (in incognito), as a Catholic politely but firmly refusing that kind of disastrous syncretism.

I can imagine ex high church Indian Anglicans becoming Syro/Malabar rite Catholics!
