The image shows the spines of Volumes IV-VII of Baen Books' seven-volume The Technic Civilization Saga, compiled by Hank Davis.
Vols IV-VII contain:
12 works about Dominic Flandry;
1 work that cameos Flandry;
2 other works set during his lifetime;
4 works set long after his death.
Thus, the Flandry series dominates but does not entirely encompass Vols IV-VII. Also, Vols I-III, set long before Flandry's birth, feature many diverse characters, including two series characters that are as significant as Flandry himself.
I am fascinated by the structure as well as by the contents of this future history series.

Kaor, Paul!
And the structure as well as much of the contents of this "future history" was so ACCIDENTAL, arising from Anderson's impulsive mentioning of "Polesotechnarch van Rijn" in THE PLAGUE OF MASTERS. Absent that accidental mentioning of Old Nick, we would have had two different and separate series of interesting stories--BUT, they would have been incomplete, covering themes not quite adequately worked out.
Ad astra! Sean
