TV Series

When writing this post, I googled the Flash Gordon cinema serials and was astonished to learn that there was also a Flash Gordon TV series with a completely different setting and story.

Which characters are worthy of TV series? The Sherlock Holmes short stories transfer directly to the screen. Ian Fleming wrote some prospective James Bond TV scripts and adapted them as short stories.

We want to see several Poul Anderson characters in TV series but only if they are faithfully adapted. Merely nominal versions would be unacceptable.

Kaor, Paul!

I only wish the James Bond movies had been more accurately modeled on the actual scripts and stories written by Ian Fleming!

And I absolutely agree with you about the desirability of movies about Nicholas van Rijn and Dominic Flandry being faithfully based on Anderson's stories. Simply for practice, I've suggested more than once that the Bahamas might be a good location for a filmed adaptation of "The Game of Glory."

Readers might find my "Textual Crawl for Flandry Movies" of some interest.
