Dalestown

Dalestown, a village by pre-Doom standards but the only town of the Dales tribe, where the Chief and High Doctor live and where people come to barter, vote, celebrate their four seasonal feasts and gather for war, has a stockade with watchtowers, catapults and stone-throwers.

The Doctors teach ancient hygiene but also try to heal with drums. Four half-naked servants carry a rich merchant wearing furs and gold in a litter so there is wealth in the town and the surrounding country. We understand why barbarians invade.
