The Solar System In The Twenty Second Century

"Holmgang."

We learn more about the Solar System:

everywhere is getting civilized except Venus;

Luna City is a "...roaring commercial metropolis..." (p. 21);

Achilles and Patroclus each have "...a permanent boomtown atmosphere..." (ibid.);

the Trojan asteroids trailing Jupiter are the jumping-off place for planets further from the Sun, the leading group for the inner System;

the Last Chance on Achilles is described as a rowdy bar;

prospectors and miners among the asteroids are the last practitioners of private enterprise.

Our knowledge of the Psychotechnic History expands with each successive story.

Kaor, Paul!

And that's exactly what any healthy society will NEED, a frontier, to be an outlet for the ambitious, restless, frustrated, or even losers trying one more time to finally "make it."

Ad astra! Sean
