"The Sensitive Man," II.
When Dalgetty wonders why he has jumped into a lecture here, he answers himself by thinking:
"...the more people who had some idea of the truth the better -..." (p. 114)
Thus, Poul Anderson usually manages to rationalize his infodumps. However, Dalgetty adds:
"...- though it wouldn't do for them to know the whole truth either." (ibid.)
Why not? He goes on to explain that a group like the Institute cannot "take over" at once by pushing buttons to control human actions but does this suggest that they instead plan to "take over" gradually?
Dalgetty and an apparently chance-met stranger discuss politics but, since this is the kind of story that it is, the discussion ends when Dalgetty is rendered unconscious with a needle gun. Section III begins as he wakes slowly.

Kaor, Paul!
We see the beginning of the beginning of the Psychotechnic Institute going down the path leading to its outlawing and exiling!
Ad astra! Sean
