La Garde gives us another date. By 2100, the Jovian colony is cut off from Earth. Fitting this date in with the previous ones generates the following list:
1970 the Psychotechnic Institute gets results
2051 colonists are terraforming Venus
2100 Jovian colonists are cut off
2126 the interstellar Pioneer is launched
2201 strike in the Pioneer
The direction of the narrative is outward from Earth to Venus to Jupiter toward Alpha Centauri. Another theme is conflict in the colonies and within the Pioneer. And there is much more to come in this future history series.

The Jovian moons colonists were cut off by 2100? That sounds a lot like what happened to the Norse colony in Greenland by 1400, when they lost contact with Europe.
