Desai interviews Aycharaych when the latter, posing as a peaceful tourist, makes his first chronological appearance in the Technic History. If we have read the Flandry series in the order of publication, then we already know that Aycharaych will become Flandry's main opponent. However, even if we are reading the History in chronological order of fictitious events, we already know that Aycharaych is on the other side. Ydwyr, nephew of the Roidhun, told Djana that he had visited Chereion where he was:

"'...received among the disciples of Aycharaych, in his castle at Raal.'"
