Futures

Poul Anderson's "Time Patrol" presents five past periods (see here) and imparts information about three future periods.

19352 A.D.
See here.

2987 A.D.
A terrible age. A Venusian raid kills Schtein's family. The Saturnian moons have also been colonized. The Time Patrol recruitment officer's white-skinned, hairless assistant in 1954 might be from this period or slightly later because, in The Shield Of Time, a hairless, alabaster-white Patrol agent is from the Saturnian System in the thirty-second century. (18,244 B.C., p. 294)

The Ing Empire
A merchant from this period visits 2987 to barter raw materials for synthrope, a secret lost during the Interregnum.

See here for the complete Time Patrol Chronology.

HG Wells' Time Traveler visits 802,701 A.D. and the later period of his Further Vision.

I face another weekend of Manchester on Saturday morning and afternoon, then missing the Goth Night on Saturday evening in order to make an early start to travel to the Buddhist monastery on Sunday.

Kaor, Paul!

About all I can think of in commenting about this blog piece is to wonder what is, was, or will be "synthrope." A medicine of some kind?

Good question.
