The Corridors Of Time, Chapter Two

Poul Anderson presents an excellent short guide to Copenhagen. What I skipped over in that previous post was his description of the people, many cycling to work and not looking beaten like American commuters:

"...portly placid men..." (p. 13) (for reference, see here);
young men wearing business suits or student caps;
girls with blowing blonde hair;
everyone obviously enjoying life.

Storm has allowed Lockridge three weeks relaxation in Copenhagen between the ordeal of his trial and whatever task lies ahead. We will soon know but look how how much Anderson gives us first.

Kaor, Paul!

I wonder what might have happened if Poul Anderson had spent his life in Denmark, instead of remaining an American. After his father's death, his mother, a Dane, returned to Denmark with her two sons before WW II. The approach of the War may her decide to go back to the States.
