Kaor, Paul!
Another philosopher I have sometimes mentioned was Mortimer Adler, who thought and wrote within the frame of Aristotelian/Scholastic philosophy. I have two of his books: THE DIFFERENCE OF MAN AND THE DIFFERENCE IT MAKES, and THE ANGELS AND US. And another Aristotelian/Scholastic philosopher some of whose works I have read is Jacques Maritain. Lastly, Poul Anderson gives us a list thinkers at the end of Chapter XXI of OPERATION CHAOS, including writers he probably disagreed with, such as Thomas Hobbes.

Sean,
Thanks. I can never cover everything.
Paul.
Kaor, Paul!
I'm a bit surprised Poul Anderson included Hammurabi in his list. Probably because that King of Babylon early codifying of law had to include him thinking about the principles of law and justice.
