Shadowspawn And Arzunians

I must attend a public meeting on education in Lancaster Town Hall to be addressed by children's author, Alan Gibbons (see image), but I leave you all with this thought. Compare SM Stirling's Shadowspawn with Poul Anderson's Arzunians: two sets of sinister, mentally powerful, parasitic humanoids, both tapping into a cosmic energy source. The Arzunians have only two powers, telekinesis and teleportation, but these enable them to pose as supernatural and to masquerade as gods. Not very dissimilar from Shadowspawn. See you back here tomorrow, probably.
