Carelo Keajimu

In the Maurai Federation, Carelo Keajimu, a former philosopher who became a politician, then retired to become an elder statesman and again a philosopher, says that:

"'...the forefathers were wise who in their myths made Nan coequal with Lesu.'"
-Poul Anderson, There Will Be Time (New York, 1973), XI, p. 124.

Those forefathers are in an imaginary future diverging from our timeline about 1973. The name of the Christian deity has completely changed its meaning.

There are firefly lanterns and a genetically engineered bird that sings from a perch although it lives in the woods, not in a cage.

Keajimu advises Jack Havig:

"'Come, this evening know peace. Observe the stars tread forth, inhale the incense, hear the songbird, feel the breeze, be one with the Earth.'"
-op. cit., p. 126.

Sight, scent, sound/song and sensation.

Kaor, Paul!

And there were still orthodox or mainly orthodox Christians after the War of Judgement. They can be seen in "The Sky People" (Mexico) and ORION SHALL RISE.
