The Time Machine by HG Wells, There Will Be Time by Poul Anderson and The Quincunx Of Time by James Blish are three short novels about time. There Will Be Time is linked to Anderson's Maurai future history and The Quincunx Of Time is part of Blish's Haertel Scholium (see here) whereas The Time Machine is sui generis.
That There Will Be Time is brief but concentrated is demonstrated by the fact that I write innumerable posts each summarizing an entirely different aspect of the text. We discuss:
FDR;
the 1960s;
the fictional town of Senlac;
Elizabethan London;
other historical periods visited by Havig;
the fictional future;
the growth of scientific knowledge in the twentieth century;
different imaginary means of time travel;
Anderson's descriptions of nature -
- and probably more. Rereading, I have reached p. 92 of 176.

Kaor, Paul!
THERE WILL BE TIME is certainly "concentrated" with material amply worthy of thought and commentary!
