I have found the previous discussion of "intellectuals." See Intellectuals.
In the combox for "Intellectuals," Sean refers to our discussion of Chapter III of Poul Anderson's There Will Be Time. After looking back, I think that he might be referring to this post.
However, after a Sunday breakfast and lunch spent blogging, I must now go out to drive my family into the country. There might be more this evening.

I looked up both of your links and I agree they were the blog pieces (including the combox discussions) you had in mind for our discussion of Chapter Three of THERE WILL BE TIME.
Yes, Anderson meant Jack Havig's pamphlet to be at least partly satirical. But the "humor" in it would not have WORKED if it had not been based on people who actually did or do think in the ways that pamphlet indicated.
