Trygve Yamamura

It should be possible to search this blog for information about Poul Anderson's characters like:

Nicholas van Rijn
David Falkayn
Christopher Holm
Dominic Flandry
Diana Crowfeather
Aycharaych
Manson Everard
Wanda Tamberly
Gratillonius (with Karen Anderson)
Steve Matuchek
Valeria Matuchek
Anson Guthrie
Prince Rupert of the Rhine
Holger Danske
Hrolf Kraki
Hugh Valland
Hanno
Trygve Yamamura

To add to the information about Yamamura:

his small office is above a drug-store in downtown Berkeley;

the door is marked TRYGVE YAMAMURA, PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR;

he has a wife, five young children, a beautiful Chinese secretary and a degree in criminology;

he is retired from the city police and careful to remain on good terms with them;

he drinks little and does not carry a gun;

he was in the Army and is a Buddhist.

I had completely forgotten the wife, children and secretary who might be mentioned only once in the first novel.

Kaor, Paul!

Dang, despite already reading three books, your comments about the Yamamura books are making me think I should reread them as well! (Smiles)
