In the Terran Empire period, Flandry evades Merseian spacecraft by flying through a storm on Talwin and Uroch the Lucky evades Gorrazani craft by flying through a storm on Gorrazan/Gorzun.
In Anderson's Maurai future history series, Stormriders fly through a storm, then fire lasers to dissipate it.

And Flandry used an aircar to escape pursuit from Biocontrol in THE PLAGUE OF MASTERS. And, I recall correctly, flew thru a storm on Unan Besar to do that.
