The Andes In The Technic History And The Time Patrol Series
Adzel spends three years in a Buddhist monastery in the Andes Mountains and there is an Andean Resurgence in the twenty second century of the Time Patrol timeline so I thought that an image of the Andes was appropriate.
And my thought was to reflect that some, not all, Christian or Buddhist monasteries were built in remote and isolated locations. For fairly obvious reasons: to be free of being distracted from the noise, hustle and bustle, etc., of the outside world.
Darn, I meant to say some Christian and Buddhist monasteries were built in remote locations to be free of being distracted BY, not FROM the noise, hustle, and bustle of the world.
