Three Ways Of Knowing

Genesis, PART TWO, VI.

Over several weeks of direct linkage and almost total concentration, Gaia will conduct Wayfarer through her database of millions of years of observations of the entire Terrestrial environment while one Christian Brannock download, "Christian," explores Gaia's emulated Earths with Laurinda Ashcroft and another download, "Brannock," explores the present physical Earth in a robot body.

Poul Anderson often reflects that every planet is an entire world. No one can know Earth in its entirety. However, Wayfarer's superhuman learning capacity includes the ability to learn in three qualitatively different ways simultaneously. The emulations are the most interesting of the three concurrent approaches, comprising as they do fictional alternative timelines. Genesis combines several earlier Andersonian themes and ideas.

This is the 13000th post.

Kaor, Paul!

And of course Gaia was trying to deceive and deflect Wayfarer from discovering her great secret, bringing back from extinction the human race. By drowning Wayfarer in data. And taking more forcefully physical action against the download called "Brannock."

This makes THIRTEEN thousand blog pieces by you? Amazing!
