Anderson, Niven, Heinlein II

For an earlier discussion of future histories by these three American sf authors, see:

Haven't Future Histories Come A Long Way?

The future histories mentioned are:

The Future History
Genesis
The History of Technic Civilization
The History of Known Space

This blog has begun to address Poul Anderson's contributions to Known Space. This in turn has unexpectedly involved a comparison with the Future History.

Of these authors, only Niven remains alive and able to continue his future history although it has already become an alternative history. Neither the Technic History nor Genesis has yet been falsified by invasions from the future as they are called in one Technic History novel.

Kaor, Paul!

I know where that line about invasions from the future came from! THE PEOPLE OF THE WIND, as the leaders of Avalon came close to quarreling about how Avalon could best resist annexation by the Empire during the Ythrian War.

Ad astra! Sean

Sean,

Good. I feared that it would be a cryptic remark.

Paul.
