The First Battle

The blog motto is "Be thorough," so have we missed anything in "Iron"? I will summarize a battle that I hurried past before:

Robert Saxtorph and some of his crew have landed on a planet in one of their space boats;

a kzinti boat lands to take them prisoner;

five kzinti begin to walk from ship to ship;

Saxtorph detonates explosives planted nearby;

the approaching kzinti dodge the landslide but it topples and half buries their boat;

Dorcas shoots three fleeing kzinti;

Saxtorph, attacking while firing a machine pistol, is tackled by a kzinti marine but kills him with a crowbar;

Dorcas shoots the fifth kzin before he reaches the open airlock of the half-buried boat;

Saxtorph enters the boat and butchers the last three kzinti with a knife.

OK. That completes the summaries of the combat in the red dwarf system.

Tomorrow, we will travel by bus to Kendal, so there will be less blogging.
