Starfarers.
In travel time, Tau Ceti is twenty-two years away, Epsilon Eridani twenty-five. The life of an interstellar explorer:
"'Do you really want that? For the rest of your life? Returning each time to...to an Earth grown still more foreign?'" (2, p. 25)
An open-ended series of very long novels would not do justice to this concept. Starfarers will show us some of the alienization of Earth itself.
During a pause in a conversation between Jean Kilbirnie and Tim Cleland on a planet of Tau Ceti:
"The wind whispered through the leaves." (p. 26)
Some very new blog readers might wonder why I quote that sentence...

Kaor, Paul!
Regular blog readers will know of your fondness for the metaphorical uses of "wind."
