Hloch is Ythrian by species, "Yhtrian" as living within the Domain of Ythri and Avalonian as living on the planet, Avalon.
Christopher Holm and Tabitha Falkayn are human by species, "Ythrian" as living within the Domain and also belonging to choths and Avalonian. They fight some non-human "Terrans."
What I am leading up to is that some characters in Poul Anderson's A Knight of Ghosts and Shadows are:
Merseian by species;
"ychani" in Eriau;
"zmayi" in Serbic;
Dennitzan by planetary residence;
"Terran" as living in the Terran Empire.
With human beings, we can separate "human" from "Terran" in a way that is not as easy for other species. Thus, Christopher Holm and Tabitha Falkayn are human Avalonians whereas Hloch is an Ythrian Avalonian.

And we know from "Honorable Enemies" that some humans settled in the Alfzarian domain, becoming subjects of the Sartaz.
Some humans lived within the Roidhunate. We see some of them in A KNIGHT OF GHOSTS AND SHADOWS.
