Kaor, Paul!

There is one thing lacking in this Talyinan castle that would have been present in any castle from Europe's feudal ear: a CHAPEL! Practically all European castles had at least one chapel. So, by analogy, there should have been a chapel in Lord Dzenko's dedicated to the worship of whatever God or gods Talyinans revered.

Sean,
The stone buildings in the courtyard could include a chapel or temple.

There should be! I was surprised your list of what was to be found in Lord Dzenko's castle did not include a chapel.

And I like this bit from Chapter XII of WE CLAIM THESE STARS, as Dominic Flandry was led thru the HQ "dens" of the invading Ardazirho on the planet Vixen: "Or it might be a sort of chapel, where a single scarred fighter wallowed in pungent leaves before a great flaming wheel." Which I thought a nice bit of speculation on what an alien, non human chapel might be like. And what kind of god had that flaming wheel for a symbol?
