By Spring

A Knight Of Ghosts And Shadows, XV.

"'We've a stiff way to go yet,' [Flandry] said, 'but we should be home safe by blossom time.'" (p. 533)

"'...do you mean it about spring...we may have to wait that long?'
"'I hope not.'" (pp. 533-534)

I quote this dialogue because it sounds like now. Will we be out of lock down by spring? But, even if we are, other urgent problems wait.

In this and several other novels, Poul Anderson conveys the sense of living in troubled times. And that resonates with now.

Kaor, Paul!

I am all too aware of the unpleasant sensation of living in unsatisfactory and troubled times!

And I have next to ZERO confidence in "Josip" and his fellow Democrats, whose bungling is already having baleful consequences for us!

Ad astra! Sean

Sean,

But many of us perceived baleful consequences under the previous administration, as you know.

I agree, such as the spiteful, malicious, and violence tolerating and encouraging behavior of the Democrats, all of which fed into and inflamed former Pres. Trump's own bad qualities.

Well, I wanted former Gov. of Florida Jeb Bush to be the GOP nominee in 2016. But he never "clicked" with the GOP base. Oh, well!

And those disastrous decisions "Josip" and his puppet masters are making are still going to have bad results, both in internal and foreign affairs.

Ad astra! Sean
