The Van Rijn Series In The Technic History

OK. I am unwell, possibly with Covid, and not going anywhere so we might have some blogging. 

In Poul Anderson's History of Technic Civilization, of the six "van Rijn only" instalments, three were collected in Trader To The Stars and three in The Earth Book Of Stormgate. In The Technic Civilization Saga, four are collected in Volume I, The Van Rijn Method, and the remaining two in Volume II, David Falkayn: Star Trader. 

In the Saga, these six instalments sub-divide into three periods:

"Margin of Profit," the third instalment collected in Volume I, introduces van Rijn and the Polesotechnic League;

the next four, which are the last three in Volume I and the first in Volume II, present a continuous van Rijn sub-series;

"The Master Key," the fourth in Volume II, comes after the two trader team stories and therefore tells us what van Rijn is doing back on Earth while his team is active off Earth just as the sixth instalment in Volume II, "A Little Knowledge," tells us something of what is happening elsewhere in the Polesotechnic League at the same time.

The trader team brings together David Falkayn and Adzel, both introduced in Volume I, and Chee Lan whose home planet, Cynthia, had been referenced twice in Volume I. As we keep saying, a substantial future history series.
