Satan's World.
Falkayn visits Serendipity.
They detain him.
Adzel and Chee Lan rescue him.
Falkayn and Chee Lan immediately depart to Satan.
Van Rijn blackmails Serendipity to negotiate.
At Satan, the two team members capture Latimer, learn the coordinates of Dathyna and destroy Gahood's robot fleet.
Gahood flees back to Dathyna.
Falkayn decides that Chee Lan and he must go somewhere else before returning to Earth.
Van Rijn, Adzel and Thea Beldaniel rendezvous with a Shenna fleet.
Gahood, without Latimer, joins the fleet.
The Shenna take van Rijn and Adzel as prisoners to Dathyna.
Van Rijn allows this to happen because, calculating distances traversed and time elapsed, he has deduced that:
Falkayn and Chee Lan captured Latimer and learned the coordinates of Dathyna;
they went there to spy and will still be there in hiding;
he and Adzel will be able to transmit intelligence to them to be returned to Technic civilization.
Claiming that the Dathynan environment is unhealthy for him, van Rijn gains the concession that Adzel and he can sleep in their spaceship with its drive, although not its communications, disabled.
They transmit, hoping that Falkayn and Chee Lan will receive.
Disobeying orders, Falkayn and Chee Lan damage the Shenna and rescue van Rijn and Adzel before departing for Earth.
Falkayn has been in non-stop action since visiting Serendipity.

Kaor, Paul!
Anderson knows how to pace his stories. So, since I've read SATAN'S WORLD more than once, I never thought this non stop action was too fast.
Of course, since it took days or weeks to travel FTL, there would be quieter intervals inside the space ships during their journeys.
Ad astra! Sean
And his stay with Serendipity has left him... peeved.
Kaor, Mr. Stirling!
I remember that. Very peeved!
Ad astra! Sean
