High tech FTL travel sounds very comfortable. Daven Laure's spaceship, Jaccavrie:

pilots
lands
lifts
maintains
repairs
fights
becomes transparent so that he seems to stand in space
responds conversationally
speaks idiomatically in a female voice
"A Ranger of the Commonalty traveled in a very special ship." (p. 711)
However:
"And, even so, every year, a certain number did not come home from their missions." (ibid.)
High tech is necessary to respond to the unknown.

Except for the "transparency" bit, we see all of the items you listed here also being characteristic of the FTL space ships used during the eras of the League and the Empire. True, less use was being made of consciousness level computers, but that technology existed and was probably still sometimes used during Imperial times.
