Orion Shall Rise, CHAPTER NINE.
From the rigging of his yacht as it enters the bay, Terai Lohannaso experiences:
fresh, salt wind;
brilliance on whitecaps;
sapphire and emerald waves, swirling, rushing and chuckling;
the waves' vigor throbbing into him;
wheeling, piping gulls;
forested hills encircling shore and town;
a cataracting river;
ripening hay fields;
looming cloud banks, shadowed and goldened by the sinking sun.

Kaor, Paul!
Altho I'm just a city boy, I do appreciate Poul Anderson's descriptions of the beauties of nature.
Ad astra! Sean
