After The Second Jump II

I wrote here, when discussing the second jump, that the Others must have originated even earlier but now I doubt it.

Joelle the holothete does hypothesize that life-bearing planets had coalesced in a nebula even earlier than this pre-galactic phase and that some of that life had become the Others who would have traveled into their future to construct the T machine near the blue star at which Chinook has arrived.

However, the Others can travel into their past as well as into their future. After all, Chinook has traveled into her past to arrive where and when she now is. Surely all life, including the Others, is more likely to have evolved later?

Kaor, Paul!

What I inferred from this is that the Others were among the earliest of all intelligent races to evolve to consciousness in the cosmos. Which makes their race ancient, ancient, ancient beyond belief.

Sean,
Yes. They would have to be very old. That explains the theory that their nebula even pre-existed the galaxies.

And I also thought of the ancient Aleriona of THE STAR FOX. Albeit even the Aleriona would seem young to the Others.
