Poul Anderson's Genesis is like Olaf Stapledon's Star Maker because it covers a cosmic time period.
Anderson's Harvest Of Stars Tetralogy echoes Stapledon's Last And First Men when his sophotects, like Stapledon's Great Brains, lacking gut feelings and intuitive understanding, come into conflict with humanity.
Anderson's Twilight World is like Stapledon's Odd John because Alaric Wayne resembles Odd John.
I had not previously noticed this third resemblance.

Kaor, Paul!
I have read Stapledon's ODD JOHN and I wished I had thought of comparing Alaric Wayne to Stapledon's hero.
I value this blog because of the allusions, comparisons, and resemblances you so often find!
