Flandry's Legacy, Continued

Flandry's legacy also includes:

the prolongation of the Terran Empire which, without his intervention, would have been destroyed as a result of the Starkad affair;

the joint Terran-Merseian scientific base on Talwin;

the incorporation of the Schothanians, Braeans and Ardazirho into the Empire;

the preservation of Tauria as an Imperial Sector;

the preservation of Nyanza and Altai as Imperial planets;

the overthrow of the dictatorship on Unan Besar;

the preservation first of the Wang Dynasty in the shape of Josip, then of the Molitor Dynasty as represented by Gerhart;

the Ramnuan climate modification project;

his daughter, Diana Crowfeather.

Before googling for information for the previous post, I had not fully appreciated the complexity of the publication history of The Night Face. After revision, expansion and two changes of title, this work was republished:

as a single volume;

as one of four works in a collection;

as one of six works in the seventh volume of an omnibus collection.

This parallels the growth of the Time Patrol series.
