The Shield Of Time, 209 B. C., pp. 102-122.
"'The gods do move in mysterious ways." (p. 106)
They certainly do if the slave of a priest of Poseidon in 209 BC can quote a Christian hymn written in 1773 AD. Maybe people spoke thus of gods and God in the past and the phrase found its way into this hymn?
Posting about this gives me a sense of deja vu. Sure enough, I posted about it at greater length four years ago.
