In just three stories, David Falkayn progresses from working as a supervised Polesotechnic League apprentice to working as a solitary Solar Spice & Liquors factor to working as part of an initially unexplained team. We have met one other member of this team, Adzel, once before if we are reading "The Trouble Twisters" in

The Trouble Twisters. Although
this first trade pioneer crew story is set entirely on the surface of the backward planet, Ikrananka, I remember that the story imparted more general information about the League period of the Technic History and it is for this reason that I am currently rereading it although progress might be slow while recuperating from a cold combined with covid infection. In fact, I might just read something less demanding for the rest of this evening...
The next post, whenever it comes, should be something about Falkayn and his crew on Ikrananka.

Ten years or more must have passed in David Falkayn's lifetime in the three stories collected in THE TROUBLETWISTERS. We don't much, if anything, in the years long intervals between "The Three-Cornered Wheel," "A Sun Invisible," and "The Troubletwisters."
I liked best "The Three-Cornered Wheel."
