"One of the guards snarled. Svantozik chuckled." (ibid.)
"Svantozik shrugged." (p. 88)
"Mirth crossed his eyes." (p. 89)
Again, is this alien too anthropomorphic? All his body language seems to correspond to ours.
Please excuse the brevity of an early morning post. I am about to be served breakfast, then engage in other activities.

I don't think the body language of all non-human races will necessarily always be completely alien to humans. But this is an old point of contention!
