The Shield Of Time, PART FOUR, 13,212 B.C.
The Tulat, "We," are unhappy because they are oppressed by the newly arrived Cloud People, the mammoth-killers, and also because She Who Knows Strangeness has left them. How do they express this dual unhappiness? How else?
"You Who Know Strangeness, why have you forsaken Us?" (p. 173)
I do not think that I need to tell anyone the source for this Biblical reference?
Apart from this, We have a good time at the autumn festival:
warm mud;
hot spring water;
defense against sickness and unfriendly ghosts;
live oysters carried in water;
herb-filled fish, birds and animals;
dried berries;
seal or whale blubber;
trade;
song;
dance;
love-making;
news;
plans;
reminiscences.
But this year it goes heavily.

Kaor, Paul!
I immediately thought of Psalm 21/22, without any need to click on the link!
Ad astra! Sean
Sean,
I think of the NT but, of course, Jesus was quoting the Psalm.
Paul.
Kaor, Paul!
Quite true! I should have added Our Lord was quoting from that Psalm during His Passion.
