A Question To Blog Readers

The post, Tea, Telloch And Arthberry Wine, has received 3167 page views.
The post, 0.45: 0.635, has received 792.
The post, Extra-Solar And Terrestroid, has received 44.
The post, An Extended Metaphor, has received 20.
The post, Names In The Psychotechnic History, has received 19.

Why?
Is there some error in the way page views are being recorded?

(Confused.)

Addendum: Those figures have increased since I published this post a few minutes ago. I think that there is an error here.

(Still more confused.)

Addendum II: I suppose that the numbers increased because some current blog readers clicked on those links just after I had published them? But that still leaves the initial large numbers unexplained.

(Slightly less confused.)

Addendum III: Now those numbers have gone down. This doesn't make sense.

(Giving up.)

Kaor, Paul!

I clicked on the two links which had the most "hits" to see if anything about those blog piece or the combox comments would explain why they got so many page views. Truthfully, I don't think they stand out THAT much.

Of my "guest articles" here, I'm rather fond of my "Andersonian Chess" essay or my revision of Sandra Miesel's Chronology of Technic Civilization. But I seriously doubt either of them got more than fifty page views. Which is rather ego deflating! (Smiles)
