Dust-Mote Galaxy

Poul Anderson, "The Problem of Pain" IN Anderson, The Earth Book Of Stormgate (Riverdale, NY, 1979), pp. 23-48.

"The worlds, races, beings are unknowably many, in this tiny corner of this one dust-mote galaxy which we have begun to explore a little.
"'Ythrians, Ythrians...wait. Do they fly?'" (p. 29)

This passage does not mention the spiral arm but otherwise belongs on our growing list. See here.

Brian Aldiss wrote Galaxies Like Grains Of Sand. See here.

Kaor, Paul!

And I only wish humans, myself included, were already OUT there doing some of that tiny bit of exploration of this single dust mote galaxy of ours!

Ad astra! Sean
