Supernovae

(Epsilon Aurigae.)

"Lodestar."

Coya lists known supernovae:

Epsilon Aurigae;
Sirius B;
Valenderay.

According to Wikipedia, it is no longer thought that the Epsilon Aurigae system includes a black hole.

It is good to see the fictional supernova that had threatened Merseia included in the list, especially since "Supernova"/"Day of Burning" immediately precedes "Lodestar" in The Earth Book Of Stormgate. This is the pyramidal structure of a future history series, earlier stories forming the base for later stories. In the Technic History, the peak is "Starfog," about a globular cluster with many supernovae, but that is still a long way in the future.

Kaor, Paul!

Another way of putting it is that "The Saturn Game" was the Alpha, or Beginning of the
Technic series while the "Starfog" was the Omega, or Ending of that series. But only in a thematic sense, because these 43 stories and novels were written at many varying dates!

Ad astra! Sean
