Historical Continuities omitted important connections like:

Flandry defended the Terran Empire from the Merseians, who had earlier been helped by Falkayn;

Falkayn worked with a Mahayana Buddhist Wodenite whereas Flandry's daughter worked with a Jerusalem Catholic Wodenite;

An Avalonian Ythrian spied for the Empire in Flandry's time;

a later civilization contacted descendants of rebels expelled by Flandry.

But Poul Anderson fans know all this and a much longer post would be necessary to list all the connections.
