Temporal stasis, suspended animation, time dilation and time travel are four ways to survive into remote futures. Poul Anderson has stasis in "Time Heals" and is a master of both time dilation and time travel.
Stasis is a major feature of Larry Niven's Known Space future history series:
Slavers and a tnuctipun put themselves into stasis;
Outsiders (we think) put ancient kzinti, including linguistic kzinret (females), into stasis on the mysterious Zoo planet in "Cathouse" by Dean Ing.
We read "Cathouse" because it is in the first Man-Kzin Wars (MKW) volume together with Anderson's "Iron" and we find that we appreciate completely different takes on MKW.

Kaor, Paul!
Have fun! I remember "Cathouse" with fondness!
We also see Poul Anderson sometimes speculating about persons being able to live indefinitely, whether by technological means (as in WORLD WITHOUT STARS) or as a genetic accident (as in THE BOAT OF A MILLION YEARS). Either would make for a fifth means of moving into the remote future.
Ad astra! Sean
