"Delenda Est," 3.
Piet Van Sarawak is Dutch-Indonesian-Venusian from the early twenty fourth century A.D. He describes his sector as a pioneer society and has "...some knowledge of Hebrew through dealing with the Israeli colonies on Venus..." (p. 181)
He remembers:
Hesperus City
canals
blue twilight
Aphrodite vintages
his sister on Venus
Not as long a list as Everard's. We associate canals with Mars. We know that there is a New Edom on Mars in the twenty ninth century. (See here.) Van Sarawak mentions the color blue so the image is of a blue Venus.
Both men have the same motive for restoring their timeline. There would be many who would be glad to get away from it.

Kaor, Paul!
And I think the best and most productive way of "getting away" from our real Earth would be for able, ambitious, restless, adventurous types founding colonies and new societies off Earth, on other worlds. Including a terraformed Venus!
Ad astra! Sean
I had fun imagining the terraformed Venus of the "Time Patrol" for my story in the tribute anthology for Poul. Got to show Deirdre and van Sarawak again.
Kaor, Mr. Stirling!
It was! And you reminded me of Anderson's "The Big Rain" and Pournelle's article of the same name in A STEP FARTHER OUT, discussing how Venus might be terraformed.
And of course there's your own, independent, story of a terraformed Venus: THE SKY PEOPLE.
Ad astra! Sean
