"Brave To Be A King," 6.
See Reality.
Keith Denison has been Cyrus the Great for sixteen years:
"'You know, sometimes everything that went before seems unreal to me, like a dream. Were there ever such things as Christendom, contrapuntal music, or the Bill of Rights? Not to mention all the people I knew. You yourself don't belong here, Manse, I keep expecting to wake up....'" (p. 82)
Denison uncannily echoes Wells' Time Traveler. See Understanding New Worlds.
Perhaps Wells and Anderson are the sf equivalents of Homer and Virgil.

Kaor, Paul!
After posing as Cyrus for sixteen years, I can see why Keith Denison would be increasingly tempted to think the world he came from was UNREAL.
Ad astra! Sean
