England's Glory

See:

England's Glory
England's Glory (band)
England's Glory (pub)
England's Glory (song)
England's Glory (lyrics)
a phrase in "Time Patrol," here. (Scroll down.)
(There was a Manchester bookshop but I can't find any reference to it.)

I try to get far out at night. Good night.

(Made in Sweden?)

Kaor, Paul!

And of course England (better, Great Britain) was at the height of its glory as an Empire at the golden and diamond jubilees of Queen Victoria in 1887 and 1897.

Sweden was a major exporter of matches in the 19th century -- they pioneered machine manufacture of them (matches were very dangerous to make by hand, because of chemical poisoning).

Kaor, Mr. Stirling!

That I had not known. And the thought I had was that Sweden certainly had lots of trees for turning into matches!

Some of those matches might end up in the colonizing ships Elon Musk hopes to send to Mars!

Ad astra! Sean
