"The Milky Way girdled [the sky] with silver, a nebula glowed faint and green, another galaxy spiraled on the mysterious edge of visibility."
-Poul Anderson, "Hiding Place" IN Anderson, The Van Rijn Method (Riverdale, NY, 2009), pp. 555-609 AT p. 599.
I can never be sure of tracking down every reference because I am unlikely to read every short story written by Poul Anderson unless that "Complete Works" gets published.

Kaor, Paul!
I too ardently hope a COMPLETE COLLECTED WORKS OF POUL ANDERSON is someday published! But when I looked up the third volume of the reprinted Psychotechnic stories at Baen Books, I discovered it's going to include THREE hitherto never before republished stories. These are: "Entity," "The Green Thumb," and "The Acolytes." All of them first pub. SEVENTY to well over sixty years ago.
Has someone with some pull been paying attention to this blog? Have we been unwittingly influencing other persons in deciding which stories to re-collect? Has my own article about uncollected works of PA been of some value?
I did note, with some regret, how the third Psychotechnic volume still includes "The Chapter Ends." We have debated on whether that story truly belongs in the Psychotechnic series, with me arguing against that idea.

Sean,
Have we heard of "Entity" before?
Paul.
Kaor, Paul!
For me, only in lists of the stories of Poul Anderson. I used my own article about the never before republished Anderson stories to find this: "Entity" was written in collaboration with someone named John Gregen and pub. in the June 1949 issue of ASTOUNDING SCIENCE FICTION. Almost exactly 69 years ago, not over seventy.
