Another Meal

There is quite a lot of good food in SM Stirling's A Taint In The Blood but some of it is too closely associated with the idea of people sucking other people's blood so I skipped past it. When Ellen is temporarily free from her vampiric captor, she joins Adrian and Harvey for:

Roederer Brut L'Ermitage, Tete de Cuvee;
braised Berkshire pork belly;
carameized apples;
celery root;
herb-roasted meatballs;
buttermilk potato puree;
green peppercorns;
crisp calamari;
black truffle agnolotti;
chanterelles;
Loch Duart salmon;
brown butter bearnaise;
desserts, including whiskey-raisin carrot cake.

I have not googled all these dishes yet. The meal is a worthy addition to our food thread.

Kaor, Paul!

Shadowspawn or no Shadowspawn, all these scrumptious means Stirling so lovingly details is fun to read about, even if they would not be very wise for me to eat! (Smiles)
