Conceptual Space

In a vast conceptual space, we are able to compare:

turbulent ages, turning points, beginnings and endings in the Danellian and Technic Civilization timelines;

means of time travel in The Time Machine and in several different works by Poul Anderson;

alternative histories as imagined by various authors;

theories of a multiverse;

whether the many multiverses can be incorporated into one megamultiverse.

I used to think that the Time Patrol mutable timeline and the Old Phoenix multiple timelines were incompatible but it is hard to conceive how a system of 4N dimensions can exclude anything.

Kaor, Paul!

I've even suggested before that the Danellians themselves might fall, that their civilization too might come to an end. After all, a millions to our future is not that much compared to the total lifespan of the Sun. So, many other civilizations might come after the Danellians.

Hmmm, meaning some of the guests at The Old Phoenix might have been Danellians or Time Patrol agents? Possibly! And we do see Nicholas van Rijn at that inn in "House Rule."

My comment immediately above does not belong to this blog piece. I should have uploaded it to the "Political Comment" piece of Paul. I would delete and start over if knew how to "erase" it.

Kaor, Paul!

Thanks for deleting that annoyingly misplaced comment of mine!
